Rehabilitation

Falck is active in the rehabilitation field through its rehabilitation centre, Falck Rehab in Denmark.

2004 was the the first full year of Falck Rehab’s existence, and 600 patients went through a rehabilitation programme after having had surgery for strokes, coronary thrombosis or other major surgery such as hip replacement.

Falck’s experience from Falck Rehab have been good, so the company will be investing in a modernisation of the centre in order to develop its rehabilitation programmes further into more individualised and targeted programmes as well as rehab programmes to cover a broader range of injuries.

Working together with a Danish county authority, Falck has developed an independent company, Falck Hjælpemidler that specialises in assistive aids for people with motor disabilities. Working closely with Danish local authorities, which are charged with helping citizens with temporary or permanent motor disabilities, Falck is expanding the operation into a nationwide company offering assistive aids.
