Emergency

The services provided by the Emergency business are the largest contributor to Falck’s current position as one of the most trusted providers of security and competent help and assistance in emergency situations.

Emergency handles emergency responses; primarily in three areas: ambulance services, patient transport and fire fighting.

Activities are most comprehensive in Denmark where Falck ambulances are called out 300,000 times per year and Falck fire fighters put out 11,000-12,000 fires. Falck also provides emergency services in Sweden, Poland and Finland. Falck has more than 200 ambulances in Poland and more than 50 in Sweden.

Emergency services build largely on Falck’s system of IT emergency alarm centres with GIS and GPS and a broad network of Falck stations that ensure fast relief in critical situations. In addition, Falck’s extensive competences and experience in the pre-hospital care of sick or injured patients, techniques, logistics and crisis management mean that the company can offer the optimal assistance at competitive prices.

The vast majority of clients in Emergency are public authorities, while the user – the citizen – does not have to pay for ambulance transport, fire fighting or government-financed sickness transport.
